Dubai South is an emerging 145 sq. km. urban development within the emirate of Dubai, designed to eventually accommodate a population of one million. Launched as a Government of Dubai project in 2006, the city is aligned with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as outlined in the Dubai Plan 2021. The city’s guiding principles focus on fostering a community of happy, innovative, and empowered individuals, promoting inclusivity and societal cohesion, and positioning Dubai South as the ideal place to live, work, and invest.
With sustainability at its core, Dubai South aims to become a smart, future-ready city and a key hub in the global economy. Its diverse economic platform supports a wide range of businesses and industries, while also being home to the operational Al Maktoum International Airport and the site of the World Expo 2020.
